So, version 4 of the iPhone OS has been announced and most people seem happy - if Digg comments are anything to go by, and those (us?) guys are never happy.
There are a bunch of new features that looks like they're going to be a lot of fun to play with, like the folder organisation and the new social games network they're developing. I really like going for achievements on the Xbox 360 and I'm really interested to see how Apple and the games developers use it in the future.
But the main feature I really wanted to see in this update was over the air sync for the whole contents of my phone. I'd ideally like it over 3g, but I doubt this is even vaguely feasible, so WiFi would be spot on. I (and I'm sure millions of other people do!) plug my iPhone into a docking station to charge overnight next to my bed, it'd be great if I could have a setting on it to automatically sync all the contents (podcasts most importantly!) over WiFi automatically as it's charging. This way Apple wouldn't have to worry about their main worry (which apparently stopped them bringing in background app running for apps other than their own) of battery life being sapped.
Anyway, just my 2 cents, what features do you think are missing from this update?
Update: Here's a video simply displaying the new multitasking feature.
